From September, we will welcome boys and girls at Ivy House School. The main points of entry to Ivy House School are Nursery (2 1/2), Reception (4+), Year 3 (7+).
Where spaces are available for Years 1, 2, 4 and 5, please follow the admissions procedure outlined.
Official admissions dates for 24/25 have passed, but we still welcome families to apply for occasional places across all year groups. If you would like to apply for a place, please email alison.miley3@ivyhouseschool.co.uk
Although there is no formal assessment for places at the nursery, we value the opportunity to meet with all prospective Nursery children.
The 4+ assessments are conducted informally. They include play-based activities to determine children’s strengths in their development, role play tasks to observe social skills and puzzle and games to explore potential.
Children will work in individual and in small groups with the Headteacher and Deputy Head in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. These individualised assessments take approximately one hour.
4+ Application deadline: Monday 6 November 2024
Assessment dates: Assessments are held from October to late January. (1-hour assessment)
Results sent: Results are communicated on Monday 29th January 2025. Offer holders are invited to visit and parents will be given a deadline of February to accept their place and pay the deposit.
Deadline for Acceptance: Wednesday 5th February 2025.
The 7+ assessments involve an age-appropriate assessment in English (reading, writing and spelling) and Mathematics and an opportunity to spend some quality time with Year 2. This individualised assessment is followed by ‘talk time’ with the Headteacher. We also review the report from the child’s current school and consider it carefully.

Application fee: £100
