Earth Day 2021

The 22nd April marks Earth Day! This year’s theme is Restore Our Earth and the whole school has fully engaged with the theme throughout the day with an abundance of green activities.

We have been working with our lights off and using recycled paper and materials to design posters. All classes were also gifted a geranium and the Eco Club provided everyone with top tips to keep their plant thriving over the coming months. One pupil created a poncho out of recycled materials for the occasion and some of the girls produced Earth Day paintings.

In English, Reception wrote poems inspired by David Attenborough while Year 3 got creative with acrostic Earth Day poems. A highlight was also lunch time, during which everyone savoured a delicious plant-based menu, planned and cooked by our always-wonderful catering team!
