Volunteering on Caritas and Mitzvah Day

On Thursday  14th of November, the St. Anthony’s Girls Mini Vinnies along with volunteers from Years 3, 4 and 5 attended the Sacred Heart Church in Mill Hill for Caritas/Mitzvah Day. Caritas Day is a Catholic Day of charity and Mitzvah Day is a Jewish day of charity. The event is supported by many children from both Catholic and Jewish schools in the area.

The children packed 400 bags full of winter essentials for homeless people in London. The bags included hats, socks, gloves, toothbrushes and toothpaste and information.

Our girls left feeling happy that have been able to help other less fortunate then themselves and are grateful for what they have.
